Binance's CZ Suggests Bitcoin's Creator Might Be Future AI, Not Human

A New Theory on Satoshi Nakamoto's Identity

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, former CEO of Binance, recently shared a provocative idea about the mysterious creator of Bitcoin. During an interview with Turkish influencers, CZ proposed that Bitcoin’s creator, known as Satoshi Nakamoto, might not be human at all. Instead, he speculated that Satoshi could be an artificial intelligence from the future, traveling back through time.

Speculation on Time-Traveling AI

CZ admitted that this theory sounds strange but emphasized it remains a plausible explanation considering the complete anonymity surrounding Bitcoin’s origin. He pointed out how the creator managed to cover their tracks perfectly, leaving no IP addresses or identifiable traces, which is an extraordinary feat.

“It might be software coming back through time… It’s hard to imagine now, but it could be possible,” CZ said.

The Ongoing Mystery of Bitcoin’s Origin

Many candidates have been suggested over the years as Satoshi Nakamoto, including Hal Finney, Nick Szabo, Adam Back, and Peter Todd. A 2024 HBO documentary even accused Todd of being Satoshi, a claim he denies.

Bitcoin’s Future According to CZ

Besides discussing Satoshi’s identity, CZ reaffirmed his strong belief in Bitcoin’s potential, stating that Bitcoin will eventually surpass gold in value, although it requires time to achieve this milestone.

Current Market Context

Despite Bitcoin’s market cap briefly exceeding some major companies and silver recently, it still trails far behind gold’s market capitalization, which stands at $22.1 trillion compared to Bitcoin’s $1.88 trillion.
